POLICE OFFICERS FOR CHRIST

Founded in 1977 by NYPD Officer Gerald Francis, Police Officers for Christ began as a non-denominational fellowship of Christian officers dedicated to spreading the gospel within the department. Incorporated in 1981, it gained official recognition from the NYC Housing and Transit Police in 1982 and was welcomed into the NYPD’s committee of police societies in 1988.

Rooted in the belief in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the organization upholds the Bible as truth, acknowledging that all have sinned and are reconciled to God through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. Committed to sharing this grace, Police Officers for Christ continues its mission of faith and fellowship within the NYPD.

Wellness Day

Take a day to reset, refocus, and restore. Police Officers for Christ invites all members of service to our Wellness Day on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 8 AM to 4 PM. Join us as we come together to grow spiritually, personally, and professionally. The event will be held at 235 East 20th Street, NYC. To register, email training@pofcnypd.org. Space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot early. We thank the Lord for this chance to pause, reflect, and be renewed in every area of our lives. Seek and Save Community Outreach Event

Join us on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, for “Seek and Save,” a community outreach event hosted by Elohim Christian Church and Police Officers for Christ. From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 87-47 111 Street in Queens, families and individuals are invited to experience a powerful day of connection, prayer, and support. This event will offer free school supplies, fun activities for all ages, and access to community resources and services—all grounded in faith and fellowship. Come experience the love of Christ through service, encouragement, and unity.
